The video game will be edited with the Premiere Pro software.

Adobe Premiere Pro is a video editing software application with a timeline that was developed by Adobe Inc. and released as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud licensing program. Adobe Premiere Pro, which debuted in 2003, is the successor to Adobe Premiere (first launched in 1991). It is designed for professional video editing.

Premiere Pro can be used to perform all of the common video editing tasks required to create broadcast-quality, high-definition video. It can be used to import video, audio, and graphics, as well as to create new, edited versions of video that can be exported to the appropriate medium and format for transfer. Various video and still images can be edited together when creating videos in Premiere Pro.

Steps of audio editing:

1. Open Premiere Pro

2. Open Files/Document (where you keep your chosen sound effect and background music)

3. Import sounds into the item's placement (in this case, the sounds). here, the users can view their sounds during editing and also so the sounds chosen are available for each tracks.

4. Drag the sounds to the scene (audio tracks)

5. Crop tool, to cut your desired sound limit.

Cut a clip (or multiple clips) into two clips. The razor blade tool is used to cut a clip in the timeline into two separate clips. Click on a clip at the point where you want the make the cut.

This razor tool, I've used it for most of the cutting sound scenes for each characters, bosses, and objects in the video game. That includes in every sound effects and background music to make it perfect with each frame of the bosses or objects I wanted to edit.

6. Right click on the sound track to edit the audio gain. Users can edit or change their desired gain (decibel) for that particular sound tracks, either for it to be loud or quiet in volume.

7.  Fade in or Fade out the sound. There are also many options to choose. To use this method of edit, right click towards the end or front of the sound track and these options will appear. “Apply Default Transitions” will make the end of the sound to fade out.

After the user apply it, the sound can change into the sign “Constant Power” to indicate that there’s an edited sound already been placed.

For the tools I’ve used here, I applied it to some of the characters and objects that needed to be used by these tools and effects. Mostly for every background music for each scene during at the end of it, I’ve applied the “Default Transition” in making it Fade out the sound, where then we can see here the “Constant Power” will appear.

8. Playback the video to make sure if it matches with the sounds.

9.  If complete, export the video. Go to Files, then search the Export row and pick Media.

10. Audio Editing on a video game is Complete!

Copyright

The legal right of the owner of intellectual property is referred to as copyright. Simple terms, protected by copyright to copy. This means that the only people who have the exclusive right to procreate the work are the original creators of the products and anyone they give permission to.

Here, the sounds been downloaded or researched are mostly from YouTube. By researching, find the sound with “no copyright” or “free to download”. Meaning the owners or creator of the sound chosen gives people permission to use it freely.

Also here is where the sounds are downloaded. The process of downloading it is by copying the video link from YouTube then pasting it here to convert it into an MP3 file, then can be imported in the Premiere Pro for further audio editing.
